At the Museum there are many opportunities to support your child’s math learning with hands-on experiences and caregiver guidance. The basic building blocks of quantitative and geometric understanding start early, with experiences that present opportunities for your child to compare weight, size, shape, or quantity. Parents and caregivers model and reinforce language to express these basic concepts, such as “less,” “more,” “heavier,” as well as the names of shapes and the properties that define them.
This library contains hands-on activities and cool math games that will engage your child in new ways to practice and learn at home.
