“We play the happiest music there is,” claims the Peninsula Banjo Band. For over 40 years the group has pursued its mission of preserving the 4-string banjo and the music associated with it. Charlie Tagawa, leader, is a member of the National Four-string Banjo Hall of Fame.

The group is open to new members, and offers scholarships to people of any age who want to learn the four string banjo or the gutbucket (wash tub bass.) The public is invited to attend practices: see www.peninsulabanjoband.com for info.
