The San Jose McEnery Convention Center, Grand Ballroom, 150 W. San Carlos Blvd., San Jose, CA 95110. The Grand Ballroom is located on the Concourse Level (2nd floor), on the San Carlos side, approximately midway between Market Street and Almaden Blvd.
The Convention Center has lots of parking and there is a large lot located across from the side entrance on Almaden Blvd. To see all parking options, visit www.sjdowntownparking.com for information on locations and fees.
We do not issue tickets. Guests are asked to check-in at tables located on the 2nd floor concourse near the ballroom.
Each guest will be given one drink ticket good for the beverage of their choice at check-in. Cash bar for the 2nd drink. One bar will remain open throughout the evening. Wine will be served with the meal.
Buy It Now, Drink It Now Wine Sales Table: For the wine connoisseurs, purchase a bottle or two. The wine will be delivered to your table along with a keepsake Children's Discovery Museum corkscrew.

Get ready in advance. You can check out what we’ve got now and see new items as they are added! Guests with smartphones are encouraged to download the FREE HandBid app prior to the event (Google Play | iTunes App Store). HandBid allows you to bid without ever leaving your table.
Volunteers with iPads will be roaming to capture bids for those who do not have a smartphone.
This event is focused on fun and fundraising among adults. We are grateful for your support. It is not recommended to bring children to the event.
But do plan to bring your children under 12 soon to Children’s Discovery Museum!

Dr. Milton Chen
Dr. Milton Chen is a pioneer of high quality, culturally competent education for children. Best known for his leadership in advancing George Lucas’ vision through the pioneering website Edutopia, Dr. Chen’s body of work champions interactive learning tools for pre K -12 students, and is rooted in a deep commitment to systemic change to advance children’s learning.
Throughout his impressive career, Dr. Chen has received numerous accolades including the Elmo Award from Sesame Workshop, the Fred Rogers Award from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and the Robin Winks Award for Enhancing Public Education Understanding of the National Parks.
Funds raised at the Legacy for Children Award gala support the Children’s Discovery Museum’s mission to inspire creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning. Through hands-on educational exhibits, in-depth programming, and immersive cultural events, our community’s children have unique daily opportunities to develop into tomorrow’s leaders, visionaries, and community members. The Museums for All national access initiative and our Open Door Policy ensure that all children, regardless of family income, can benefit from our unique learning experiences.

We Salute the 20th! In honor of the 20th anniversary of Legacy, we bring you Andy Vargas, the soul-tinged voice and lead vocalist for legendary rock band Santana.
