Lowrider Takeover at Children’s Discovery Museum
Celebrate with us! Throughout the month, there’ll be hands-on art activities, performances, and themed workshops and programs to honor the contributions of local Latinos. Schedule of Events.
- Boulevard Bombs will showcase some of their most beautiful cars inside and outside of the museum
- Phillip Retamoza, known locally as the Purple Car Singer, will perform throughout the day from his custom-designed purple 1952 Mercury Lowrider bomb (Mercster)
- Author and digital artist Ricardo Cortez will present his popular book, ABCs of Lowriding, and facilitate a hands-on art activity at 11:00 a.m.
