Called a “kid-friendly, bilingual (English/Spanish) rock star” by The Washington Post, Mister G (Ben Gundersheimer) is a leading figure in children’s music. His CDs have been selected by People magazine, Parents magazine, The Washington Post, and Education.com as top children’s albums, and his 2012 release, Chocolalala, won a Parents’ Choice Gold Award.
 
Named one of the “Best Live Acts for Kids and Families,” Mister G has produced several environmentally-themed songs, “Mister Chubby Pants” and “Squirrels,” that have been made into videos. Credits also include: Latin Grammy Nominating Ballot for Best Children’s Album, Grammy Nominating Ballot for Best Children’s Album, and 2012 Parents’ Choice Gold Award.

Mister G is a bilingual superstar in the children’s music world, having won three Parents’ Choice Gold Awards for dynamic, original music spanning genres from bluegrass to bossa nova, funk to folk. Don’t miss a chance to enjoy his new album, and to grab a copy of the Latin Grammy Best Children’s Album Los Animales.

“We play the happiest music there is,” claims the Peninsula Banjo Band. For over 40 years the group has pursued its mission of preserving the 4-string banjo and the music associated with it.  Band leader Charlie Tagawa is a member of the National Four-string Banjo Hall of Fame.

Masanga Marimba Ensemble

Masanga Marimba Ensemble plays traditional and popular music from Africa and Latin America on drums, percussion, saxophone, trumpet, and 7 Zimbabwean marimbas…including giant marimbas unlike anything you’ve ever seen or heard before! Upbeat, danceable, and so much fun!

Dr. Noize Live
Friday, July 18

Enormously silly, creative, interactive, and educational, Doctor Noize sings and plays his award-winning interactive songz on his Big Collection of Instrumentz & Whatchama Gadgetz, interactively recording and arranging songz live with his audience of Misunderstood Geniuses. Doctor Noize has earned rave reviews nationwide (“Imaginative!” says Grammy.com). His song “Banana” was a number 1 hit, and his recent children’s single “Welcome to Grammaropolis” rose to number 6, on XM Kids Radio’s top ten chart. Doctor Noize is also the author of children’s book “The Ballad of Phineas McBoof.”
