Foil sculpted Motion: Shadows in Action
Facilitated by CDM Visual Art Specialist Muneeba Zeeshan

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Get ready for some foil-tastic fun! In this awesome kids’ activity, we’ll be molding shiny aluminum foil into imaginative sculptures—to depict bodies in motion. Once the sculptures are ready, then the magic happens: place your creation under a light and watch as its shadow comes to life on paper. The fun continues as you trace the shadow, and turn it into a psychedelic drawing! This project combines hands-on sculpting with drawing, letting kids explore light, shadows, and artistic creativity in one go! It’s great for sparking imagination and learning how 3D objects interact with light. Perfect for curious creators and future artists!

Saturday and Sunday
November 3 through December 1
Homemade Fall Tree
Facilitated by Artist-in-Residence Araceli Holmes

10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Create a unique and beautiful finger painted fall tree using your hands (or Q-tips). Explore an analogous palette of seasonal colors as you create a beautiful memento to bring home.
