Yes, every person who enters the Museum must be accounted for. However, children under age 1 are free.
We know that plans change. Please contact us at admissiontickets@cdm.org if you wish to change the date of your visit or need a refund.
You may leave the Museum and return.

Reservations are not required. Show your home museum membership card and photo ID at admissions. Please note you must have the ACM Reciprocal Network logo clearly visible on your membership card in order to receive the discount.
Yes, no reservation needed. Just present your pass at the admissions desk.
You may apply the $1 off corporate discount to ticket purchases made at the admissions desk with proof of employment. This could be a business card or an employee badge. The corporate discount is not available online.
Yes, we participate in the “Museums for All” program, which makes the Museum experience affordable for all families with the presentation of a state Electronic Benefit Card (EBT), WIC folder, or a BIC card and personal ID.
Tickets for “Museums for All” must be purchased at the Museum.
The birthday party program is on hold until we are able to once again staff for this program. Please check back with us, visit our website for updates, or consider adding yourself to our newsletter list.
We are not currently renting the Museum for events.
- The Purple Museum team is onsite cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day with CDC and EPA-approved disinfectants.
- Daily deep cleaning with an electrostatic sprayer and CDC and EPA-approved disinfectants occurs at the end of every day.
- We have 16 hand sanitizing stations, including four touchless dispensers, throughout the Museum and eight in Bill’s Backyard and 28 automatic paper towel dispensers.
- Installed MERV 13 high efficiency air filters to HVAC units and the Amazing Airways and Bernoulli Blower exhibits. Added air purifiers to the Wonder Cabinet. Restroom faucets are touchless.
- Removed Museum lockers and stroller parking spaces.
We’ve redoubled our stringent cleaning protocol. Throughout the day, the Purple Museum team will clean and sanitize exhibit areas, the restroom and the admissions area with an emphasis on high-touch surfaces using CDC and EPA approved disinfectants. This cleaning includes using electrostatic sprayers and high temperature sanitizing of all manipulatives and disinfecting throughout the Museum with CDC and EPA approved disinfectants.
No. We do not require reservations in advance.
Guest passes are located in the eMembership app under benefits, guest passes. Reservations are not needed to use your guest passes.
- Tickets: Advance tickets are not required but recommended for busier traffic days.
- Parking lots: The two parking lots across from the Museum are open and light rail is running.
- Strollers, bicycles, wagons and carts: Strollers are only allowed for children who cannot walk. Bikes, wagons, and carts are not allowed in the Museum or Bill’s Backyard.
- Bicycles: There is no bicycle storage on site.
- Food and Water: Our hydration stations will be open for refilling a personal water bottle. We've got you covered with a variety of beverages including water, coffee, chocolate milk, and healthy snacks to help curb the appetite from all the play! Light snacks but no meals are allowed in Bill’s Backyard.
The front of the Museum faces Discovery Meadow (the park). The entrance is between the two palm trees.
Strollers are only allowed for children who cannot walk. Bikes, wagons, and carts are not allowed in the Museum or Bill’s Backyard.

We only hold lost and found items for 24 hours. Retrieving from the lost and found bin is self-serve.

The downstairs “Quiet Room” is available for private breastfeeding.
