Celebrate autumn in the Garden and explore the incredible seed! Make a seed mosaic that you can take home.

Scarecrow Saturdays
It’s scarecrow season! Celebrate harvest time with cornstalks and pumpkins. On Saturdays, you can make your own scarecrow to take home.

Caregivers and siblings welcome. Open until 4:00 p.m.

Wet Chalk in the Art Studio
Children can experiment with blending colors, drawing lines and creating designs as they draw with wet chalk on different textured surfaces.

Water Color with Special Effects in the Art Studio
Painting with watercolors provides an opportunity for children to explore brush strokes as well as to mix colors.  Children will also explore the intersection of art and science as they explore the ways watercolor reacts with special materials, such as crayons or salt.

Toy (re)Making Workshop
Give toys new life by recombining them to make new toys and sculptures! See how a dinosaur head looks on a teddy bear’s body…find your plastic snake a top hat…make wings for a doll… build a sculpture with game pieces…

What Makes a Superhero
Explore activities that change weekly to make your own superhero accessories, build an action figurine, explore the art of the comic book, or create your own identity!
Daily starting February 3 (except February 28) from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sundays 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m. 

Week 1:  Build a scene/scenario where a superhero is called upon to use his/her super powers. Add something to our city scape or make your own to take home.
Week 2:  Community Action Figures. Make your own action figure based on a real or imaginary superhero.
Week 3:  Superhero Symbols. Create your own symbol that can be projected on the wall.
Week 4:  Comic Book Stories. Create your own story in a comic book format or responding to a frame from a comic book.

It’s Lunar New Year! Find your Zodiac animal on our chart, draw it, and then sculpt it!

Scribbling may be defined by the dictionary as a picture created carelessly and hurriedly, but we prefer to embrace scribbling as a thoughtful composition of abstract lines.  Join us as we take it to the next level by encouraging children to explore a variety of scribbling utensils and surfaces upon which to doodle.
