Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose has created a set of immersive experiences that that provide children with pathways for interactivity and learning about the Vietnamese culture. Through engagement with Vietnamese elders and experts, we identified cherished cultural touchstones that are hallmarks of life in Vietnam. These cultural touchstones became the foundations of our exhibit experiences, and included elements such as special foods, typical clothing, ancestor altars, musical instruments, and distinctive festivities. We used the Tet Festival as the lens to provide a meaningful foundation for exhibit experiences.
